The New Discovery Subscription Bags

We have received many inquiries about our new subscription bags. If you haven’t noticed we swapped to this system a couple months back for a few reasons:

1- Cost of importing, materials and
export.

Receiving bulk allows for more
efficient logistics from the FDA at our
volumes. Different packaging from
roasters also meant different
packaging to ship which was overall
expensive or often would make
exports over weight limit, thus
doubling costs. Instead of raising
prices we found a solution that also
became a more cohesive experience

2 - Coffee budget and partnerships.

This system allows us to have more
control on fixed costs which would
give us flexibility in choosing higher
priced coffees than before. As you
see above it also allows for more
exclusives coffees. For many roasters
it makes in a lot easier on their
workload which gives us more
opportunity to work with smaller
roasters more often.

Since we're
still offering coffees in our
marketplace and roasters that you'll
be able to subscribe to, it makes this
subscription more focused on the
coffees themselves and allowing
people to discover coffees without
any pre conceived feelings based on
packaging. Since we're a retail store
as well it gives the coffees and
roasters more of a feature in our
stores, especially those who don't
have necessarily flashy packaging.

You probably noticed that we are using the same packaging for our roasting.  This was only temporary until our new packaging launches.
