Our Yunguilla Sidra Natural lot is an expression of the expertise of Juan Pena, one of Ecuador's most influential specialty coffee producers, with whom we have worked for several years. Grown on the Yunguilla farm, this Sidra variety reveals the finesse of its terroir thanks to a precise agronomic approach and controlled natural drying.
Yunguilla is the new project developed by Juan Pena. It is now part of a larger production project, bringing its own distinct sensory identity. Since 2019, located in the Yunguilla Valley in Ecuador, the producer has sought to explore new terroirs while maintaining the same high standards of excellence that have earned him the reputation of Hacienda la Papaya. The Yunguilla Valley, warmer and drier, benefits from abundant sunshine and volcanic soils that promote the slow ripening of the cherries.
In the cup, this Sidra Naturel coffee seduces with its intensely aromatic profile, a blend of passion fruit, baked apple, and red plum notes. Its natural sweetness and silky texture make it a complex and balanced coffee.
