The producer is Mulugeta Muntasha, an experienced farmer from the Sidama region, whose farms are located at altitudes of 2,100–2,250 meters above sea level. These conditions provide the ideal environment for coffee trees – a cooler climate and rich soil that allows the cherries to ripen slowly and develop a complex flavor profile. Mulugeta focuses on the 74-158 Kurume variety, bred specifically for Ethiopia's high mountain regions. Thanks to his precise work and deep respect for nature and tradition, the coffee perfectly represents the potential of Sidama.
The coffee is processed using the red honey method, in which only part of the pulp is removed from the cherries and the remaining layer of mucilage is left on the beans during drying. This process combines the clarity of washed coffees with the fruitiness of natural coffees, adding sweetness and depth to the cup. In this harvest, red honey creates a combination of intense fruity tones with a pleasantly round body and a long aftertaste. Ethiopia MULUGETA RED HONEY is an example of a modern approach to traditional methods and proof that innovation and terroir can together create an unforgettable experience in a cup.
