Abel Salinas

This is now the third season we've purchased coffee from Abel Salinas, and the first time we've bought from his smaller fly crop. Finca Arashi is located in Saraguro, Loja, Ecuador, and is managed by Abel Salinas, a 58 year old, first generation coffee grower and the fifth out of twelve siblings. The farms sits at an elevation of 1890 masl and consists of 7 hectares of land. Abel has around 22,000 coffee trees in production and the majority of those are Mejorado variety; Abel also grows some Sidra and H1 Hybrid. Abel has been producing coffees since 2016, but is now renowned in Loja from winning the 2021 Ecuador Cup of Excellence competition.
