A Taste of Montreal with Escape Coffee!
Escape Coffee, Montreal, Canada

David started Escape in 2018, to escape the corporate world. His goal was to build a specialty coffee company focusing on the impact on the planet and on people, before the profit. This is how he has run the company since.

"We are carbon neutral, deliveries are made via an electric truck + bicycles deliveries in the city and carbon neutral shipment across the globe."

David, Founder of Escape Coffee

Montreal is a multi cultural and left side city. It's well balance with different people coming from all over the world, which makes the city so vibrant. You can get any type of food from any culture you can think of. The 4 seasons makes the vibe change every 4 months.

"Our menu is made of 4 different series built with different flavor profile and a mix of over 16 origins, some less traditional in specialty coffee. I feel like we represent Montreal by having a mix of different products available with different origins/varietals/roast profiles."

In the subscription this month you will receive a washed Kenya and Thailand coffee!

André le géant - a washed Kenyan.

Team's favorite. It's clean, vibrant acidity and lingering sugars makes it a must on our menu. This year, we're proud to bring back this legend with a stunning blend of SL28, SL34, Batian, and Ruiru 11 varietals from Thiriku FCS, nestled in the central highlands of Nyeri. Grown at an elevation of 1,918 meters, Thiriku’s fully washed coffee lives up to the towering standards our André the Giant demands.Staying true to its classic profile, André #5 opens with a rich Coca-Cola sweetness, lifts you with a juicy Five Alive citrus burst, and finishes gently with the mellow elegance of Japanese persimmon..

Dulce - a washed Thai coffee

This washed Thai single origin comes from Phupha Estate in Chiang Mai. Where coffee grows slowly under forest shade and care runs deep. Second-generation farmers, high elevation, thoughtful processing. All the good stuff.
In the cup, Dulce keeps things sweet and grounded. Think toasted s’more, melty caramel, and dried fig, wrapped up in a clean, balanced profile that’s endlessly drinkable. It’s comforting without being boring, playful without trying too hard. Washed processing lets the Typica and Bourbon shine, bringing clarity and structure while keeping the sweetness front and centre. This is the kind of coffee that works across the board – smooth filters, cozy pour-overs, and espresso that leans rich and dessert-like.

"We are already sharing our heart in these beans, really hope they will enjoy."

Filter/Pour over
  • Brew these 2 with a 1:17 ratio with off boil water
  • I would aim my pour over to a quick 3min 30sec with off boil water temp.
