Slow is founded by New Zealand Olympian, Sam Dakin. He started it on the concept that we live in such a fast moving world that we forget to appreciate the small things. SL.OW is about helping people slow down, be more present and be intentional with those moments. We ensure it's gone over some of the best coffee in the world.
"We are based all the way down in the corner of the globe in a place called Cambridge (not the one in the UK), New Zealand. It's known as the "Home of Champions". Reason being is that majority of NZ's Olympians are all centralized and based in this tiny town for 25,000 people. It's a beautiful town with lots of greenery, young families playing in the parks and just an all round gorgeous place to live and slow down."
The city has inspired the team to take things slowly. The best things come when there is less noise. That's how they approach their roasting. Intentional but not overthought and certainly not within the confines of traditional approaches. They are fresh in their thinking, constantly challenging what they know and enjoying the process of continuous learning.

"We love this coffee from Finca De Berman. We proudly sourced this coffee through our import partner, Opal Coffee. It's a carbonic maceration coffee from Indonesia. At Slow we are a real affiliation for alternative processing methods. We think it's incredible to see what flavor profiles we can achieve with modern world processes. This processing method, inspired by wine making involves placing whole ripe cherries into a sealed stainless steel tank, flushing it with CO2 to remove oxygen and allowing fermentation to occur from the inside out."

- Dose: 16g Out: 260g
- Bloom with 50g, for 35 seconds. Agitate in a circular motion (2 rotations)
- Slowly pour in a circular motion until the scale reads 150g. No agitation.
- One slow center pour to 260g. Agitate (1 motion)
