Details
The Arara variety grows at 1,000 to 1,150 metres above sea level on Rio Brilhante, a 1,755-hectare farm run by Inacio Urban and his family.
Of this land, 840 hectares are devoted to coffee, while 566 are preserved, supporting both the environment and the local community through 87 permanent and 199 seasonal jobs.
A natural mutation of Obatá and Yellow Icatu, Arara is prized for its high yield, pest resistance and exceptional cup quality. Often called the “Brazilian Gesha,” it has achieved scores of 90 points and above in BSCA competitions.
