Riakiberu PB

Riakiberu Coffee Factory is located in Kamacharia area of Murang'a County and falls under the Kamacharia Farmers Cooperative Society , which brings together around 700 smallholder farmers. The main variety grown is SL28 , with smaller portions being Batian and Ruiru 11 .

The region is characterized by fertile red volcanic soil , high altitude, and cooler temperatures (16-26 °C), which, together with annual rainfall of around 1,200 mm, create ideal conditions for growing coffee.

The cooperative provides farmers with year-round training in good agricultural practices, advice on the use of organic fertilization, and support in the form of pre-financing for school fees, farm entrance fees, or extraordinary expenses.
