Korongo is a coffee produced by smallholder farmers in southern Tanzania, in the Mbozi, Mbeya, and Mbinga regions. The name "Korongo" means "flamingo" in Swahili, referring to the birds that inhabit this area.
This lot is part of IMPACT, Sucafina's responsible sourcing program. IMPACT seeks to improve producers' incomes and promote sustainable agricultural practices by providing access to financing, agronomic training, and differentiated markets. In these regions, farmers collaborating with IMPACT have adopted soil conservation, crop planning, and water management techniques, improving both coffee quality and the living conditions of communities.
