Basha

Basha Bekele runs four small coffee processing sites in the area around Bensa, close to several of the other producers we work with. This lot is from Basha’s original site near the well-known village of Bombe, where some of his partner farmers work at over 2300 masl. Basha also operates collection points in Shantawene and Kokose, and added a new site in Badigalo this year, at even higher altitude. This means that Basha now works with around 150 other farmers, and exports their coffee directly to roasters like us. Basha’s family have been in coffee for many years; his father is well respected in Bombe, having previously managed the local co-op here.
