La Parcela is owned and run by Melanie Herrera. Melanie has been working within the coffee industry for many years and purchased her farm in 2017. The farm is approximately 1 hectare and has a diverse range of trees providing shade for her coffee trees as well as avocado and macadamia nut trees.
After harvesting the coffee cherries she transports them to Bella Vista mill for processing. After arriving at Bella Vista the cherries are fermented for around 12 hours before being washed and dried.
Bella Vista is owned by Luis Pedro Zelaya, a fourth generation coffee producer whose family have been involved in coffee production and export for many years. Melanie also works at the export company and is responsible for different areas including: green coffee sales, client relationships and help with internal quality control.
