We purchased this coffee through SNAP, a licensed exporter based in Addis Ababa who has been working out of Ethiopia for over 10 years. SNAP is not only highly committed to specialty coffee, but also sustainability, and invest heavily into education for those who sell their coffee cherries to SNAP washing stations. SNAP provides training on both cleaning and processing methods, as well as investing in waste recycling systems - and hope to have most of their coffees certified organic within the next 2 years.
This Coffee has been processed at the Teshome Gemechu washing station, in Deri Kedame town in Hambela, Guji, Ethiopia, and consists of type 74110 of a local varietal. We love this coffee for its delicate florals, stone fruit, candy sweetness, and red berries. It reminds us of fruit stalls at farmers markets, and flowers blooming in the Spring.
