The factory is located on the slopes of Mount Kenya at between 1600-1700 masl. The cooperative has an almost 50\/50 split of female and male producers. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eCherries are hand sorted by the producers before being graded by density. The coffee is fermented in shade for 16-24 hours before being washed in grading channels.
