Coffees from Fuyan have consistently achieved some of the highest Q scores in Yunnan, a testament to the dedication, quality control, and deep-rooted relationships that Mr. Li and Mrs. Na have cultivated with their pickers—predominantly Lahu, an indigenous ethnic group.
The Fuyan farm and washing station is managed by Li & Nanuo. Alongside Coffee production, Fuyan also produces 7 tons of speciality grade tea each year.
A defining feature of the farm is the prevalence of other agricultural activities, with a range of animals & herbs.
Cherries are carefully handpicked and sorted to eliminate any overripe or underripe fruit. Then, they undergo a controlled fermentation process in sealed bags. After fermentation, the cherries are spread on raised drying beds, where they dry slowly until ideal moisture level is reached.
