Dayglow to open new flagship location in Chicago this fall.

It’s the first major expansion for the LA based company, which most recently was named #2 in Food & Wine’s Best 100 cafes in America. The hybrid subscription service cafe is most notably known for its unmatched selection of the best international coffee roasters. For this location Founder Tohm Ifergan aims to refine its menu and provide a more focused yet diverse exploration of its offerings. You can expect the perfect ratio of Scandinavian single origin coffees and decadent freeze distilled milk along with inventive signature drinks and pastries from Lost Larson.

The location is at the revitalized Kimball Arts Center off the 606 trail. The new bar, designed by Range (Avondale Bowl, Hopewell) Is opening across Tohm’s brother Jonny’s new brewery, Ørkenoy. The Scandinavian inspired tap room and kitchen will act as a pop up space for Dayglow during construction.
The pair have long dreamed up working together and now as co tenants look to serve the community of Humboldt park as a gathering space for artists and local relief programs. This is the first step for the ambitious project by Stocking Urban, the developers who plan to renovate the building to better attract the next wave of creative entrepreneurs. The hope is to make it a destination for local residents, looking for a coffee/beer/creative respite, while keeping the building's grit, and celebrating it's history.
